Overview
Film allows someone to escape their reality, but virtual reality allows for someone to actually “exist” in a new reality. I want to create films using virtual reality to lessen the distance between people, tell impactful stories, and reduce the bubble we live in. I want to learn from the leading thinkers in technology and design at Cornell Tech on how to create films with virtual reality that can be easily accessible and understandable. For example, I’d hope to collaborate with a history-loving peer on creating a VR film where kids can actually experience history. In this world of increasing division, I want to combine the arts and the sciences to create films that will bring people closer.
