Overview
Project Manager for CCAT Observatory, Inc. Directly responsible for the development and fielding of the Fred Young Submillimeter Telescope and all associated infrastructure in the United States, Canada, Germany and Chile. Leads overall execution of the project to include international agreements, partnership agreements, and governmental relations. Oversees the development and issuance of all telescope and infrastructure design specifications. Authors and issues requests for proposals and conducts contract negotiations, vendor selection, and post-award management and oversight. Manages all aspects of project financing to include budgets, international banking, invoicing, foreign exchange, insurance, tax, tax recovery, audit, compliance and reporting. Develops and executes the project schedule, project risk assessments, project safety program, as well as system integration and testing processes. Ultimately responsible for the telescope’s ability to achieve first-light in late 2023.
