Overview

As an Active Learning Initiative postdoc, I'm interested in better understanding the impacts of cooperative student group work in the context of immersive, project-based learning experiences in natural science courses.  I'm particularly invested in learning about how we can make field-oriented courses more inclusive to all students. My postdoc research, in collaboration with Natural Resources Department faculty members Paul Rodewald, Marc Goebel, and Matthew Hare, as well as Michelle Smith (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology) focuses on incorporating cooperative learning and active learning into the curriculum of several Natural Resources courses.
