Music Librarian, Adjunct Professor
Bonna Boettcher divides her scholarly energy among a variety of areas, including library administration, music librarianship, and fictional representations of music and musicians. She has written and presented on topics such as Stravinsky’s piano music, fictional women pianists, music and musicians in mystery fiction, copyright and music, and library planning.
She currently serves on a Music Library Association task force charged to develop best practices for copyright, and has recently completed a term as Convention Manager for the association. She is a past president of the association and also has served as Executive Secretary. In March 2013, she was awarded MLA’s citation, recognizing “distinguised service to music librarianship over a career.”
